Throughout his career, Timmy has performed for adult and senior audiences. In fact Timmy's first extended professional work as a musician (1978) was at the now famous Maguire's Irish Pub in Pensacola, Florida - playing traditional Irish dance music, ballads and folk songs.

     Although he is best known for his work with children and families, Timmy has developed and maintained an entertaining repertoire for the grownup set, featuring a wide variety of instrumental music, humorous songs, ballads, stories and jokes.

     Adult audiences will hear rich melodies (both traditional and original) played on the hammered dulcimer, English concertina, bowed psaltery and penny whistle. With banjo and guitar accompaniment, Timmy will present songs appropriate for the gathering - anything from the traditional Shaker hymn "How Can I Keep From Singing" to English ballads like "Willy o' Winsbury" (a love story) and "Lady Margaret" (a ghost story) or the more humorous "Devil and the Farmer's Wife", to the 1940's radio hit, "My Own Grandpa" or a rousing version of the traditional "Crawdad Song" or the more contemporary "Why Paddy's Not At Work Today", John McCutcheon's "Water From Another Time" or the beautiful grownups' lullaby, "John of Dreams". It's even possible that Timmy will grab a couple of fellows from the audience to act out a few one-liners around the well known fiddle tune "Arkansas Traveler". Besides the music, Timmy is known for a sometimes hilarious, sometimes sensitive batch of stories and jokes, all of which add to the tone of an entertaining and richly varied program.
