Timmy Abell offers a special holiday concert featuring the finest instrumental and vocal music, suitable for any audience, and suited especially to the season.
Audiences will enjoy hearing traditional carols, original songs and a collection of rare Christmas melodies played on a wide variety of folk instruments, including hammered dulcimer, English concertina, bowed psaltery, penny whistle, Appalachian dulcimer, guitar and banjo.
Timmy's Christmas concert is a lively and engaging presentation of musical gems; it's an invitation for every voice to join in the celebration of the season; and it's a special event designed to fill the air with the spirit of the holidays.
Timmy has been hosted by The Kennedy Center and The National Theater in Washington, DC, the JFK Library in Boston, the Merle Watson Memorial Festival in Wilkesboro, The Peace Center in Greenville, The Savannah Music Festival, Picolo Spoleto and in countless other communities throughout the Southeast. His family concert was featured as part of North Carolina Public Television's 40th Anniversary Celebration, which was broadcast repeatedly throughout the state.
