Gary Burleson, one of Justin's closest friends (same birthday), spent many hours during the summer of 2002 carving these memorial sculptures in honor of Justin. With the help of others (especially Justin's mother, Sally Duryea), Gary fashioned these mushrooms out of a large fallen white pine log. They stand overlooking the pond on the farm where Justin grew up in Weaverville, NC.
